Our Curriculum

Our Curriculum for the soul:

We use the Growing in Christ Series from Concordia Publishing House which is adaptable for all ages.  It uses appropriate traditional pictures, flannel graphs and classroom activities to reinforce the stories.  The Growing in Christ Series enables the teachers to integrate the Lutheran Faith into every aspect of the daily lesson plans.  Our teachers are regularly trained by our Pastors on the materials.

Our older children attend chapel service on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. in the church.  The service is led by one of the Pastors, and parents are invited and encouraged to attend with their child.

Our curriculum materials are available for examination by interested parents.

Our Curriculum for the mind and body:

The goal of our program is to guide children toward their highest potential through meaningful learning experiences.

In order to accomplish this, we use curricula written by Early Childhood Experts.  These materials are designed to engage children in developmentally appropriate learning through hands-on and child-directed activities, focusing on emerging skills beginning at the infant level.  Through these activities, our teachers help children develop a love for learning while growing, playing and having fun.

For infants and toddlers, the curriculum provides activities that stimulate growth and emerging skills in all developmental areas.  The curriculum which is used for Twos and the Pre-K Threes classes continues to develop skills in all five of the developmental areas while also incorporating number sense and alphabetic principles.  We utilize a teacher created, literature based curriculum for the Pre-K Four classroom, which incorporates all the necessary components to adequately prepare students for entrance into Kindergarten.

Our curriculum materials are available for examination by interested parents.
